This is the model I built for the Burnside Community Center Project I designed. Model started off really great, I was taking my time and trying to really finely tune the craft - considering this was my first extensive model I have ever attempted or built. On many of my projects, models are more last minute or second to the drawings/renderings for myself, however my studio professor wanted this model to be a big part of the presentation, so I tried my best. Well, as I was saying... the model started off great but as time started dwindling away I could see I was beginning to cut corners - PLUS with lack of sleep my craft was going to go down dramatically anyways. The model itself is made of basswood, lexan, cresant board, foam core, and was glued using good ole' tacky. All in all, it was a 2-3 week model, I wish I had more time... if I did, it would have really been golden! Thx for looking!

Btw, my camera (fujifilm f10) was stolen... so I had to make due with an older digicam of mine. so thats why the pictures aren't the greatest. REALLY ANGRY about it, but oh well life goes on and now I am looking at getting a rebel xt ;)

Burnside Project - MODEL by ~illmatic1 Architectural Design is a rather new category for Artisan Crafts, but it shouldn't be overlooked. This architectural model is awesome! (Featured by `dedredhed)

The overall craftsmanship of the model is quite nice. Based on the closeups one can tell the level of though put into the actual construction of the model without going at it whimsically or last second. It is definatly a good project and even the layout of images of the model are nice. The only thing i think would punch it up to a professional level would be adding entourage, you might not have had the time for the deadline but, hey who says you cant go back now and do it. nice job

This is actually really nice :O The photos are awesome for being done with a digicam.
